In a candid official statement released today, Ghanaian sing-a-thon act and socialite, Afua Asantewaa has confirmed that she and her husband are no longer together.
The announcement comes amid swirling public speculation and “circulating narratives” about her personal life. Asantewaa described the separation as a private decision reached “with careful consideration” and appealed for sensitivity from the public and media.
She also addressed what she termed “false claims and misleading interpretations” regarding the breakdown of the marriage, stating categorically that many assertions being circulated are inaccurate.
Afua pushed back against perceptions that she has been ungrateful, saying, “I am, and have always been, deeply appreciative of every individual, opportunity, and experience that has contributed to my journey.”
Afua Asantewaa apologised for any expressions or utterances that may have been misunderstood during this period, insisting that causing distress was never her intention.
