The prestigious 3Music Awards is set to make a grand return with its 2024 edition scheduled for September. The announcement was made during a press soiree held in Accra on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
Speaking at the event, Rashidatu Yasmine Abdulai, CEO of 3Music, expressed her excitement about the comeback. “We have spent quite some time ensuring our next big move would put us even higher on the totem pole of innovation and creators. Today, I am thrilled to announce the return of 3Music Awards in September,” she said.
Abdulai highlighted that the year-long hiatus allowed the management to reimagine their approach and work towards setting new industry standards. āAfter a year-long hiatus, we have reimagined our approach to ensure 3Music Awards celebrates musical excellence and sets new industry standards. The 3 Music Awards is more than an event. It is a celebration of creativity, talent, and vibrant culture,” she added.
The 2024 edition promises to introduce fresh elements designed to captivate the audience and honour the artists who inspire fans globally. Abdulai emphasized the renewed commitment to showcasing the best in music and amplifying the voices of artists to create an inclusive and unforgettable experience.
In a notable change, the organizers have decided to retire the Fan Army category, which had previously recognized the most dedicated fan bases of musical acts. The decision is part of the new direction aimed at enhancing the awards’ focus on musical and creative excellence.
Nominees for the 3Music Awards 2024 are set to be announced soon, building anticipation for what promises to be a remarkable celebration of music and culture.
