Billboard Names Jay Z The Greatest Rapper Of All Time. Shawn Corey Carter better known as Jay Z has been named by the music charting platform Billboard.com as the greatest of all time in the history of Hip Hop music.
According to Billboard.com and Vibe, Jay Z is the greatest rapper of all time, what is preferably known as the GOAT in the history of Hip Hop.
Billboard and Vibe name the veteran rapper the best in the history preceding Hip Hop’s 50th-anniversary celebration.
The magazine rolled out the greatest 50 rappers of all time before naming the final 10 with Jay Z on top of the list.
The top 10 rappers of all time by Billboard.com and Vibe were made based on Body of work /Achievements, Cultural impacts or influence, Longevity or consistency, and flow or prowess.
Jay Z was named at top of the list following almost three decades in the Hip Hop industry. Kendrick Lamar became the second on the list with Nas occupying the third position.
The only female rapper that made it to the top 10 greatest rappers of all time by Billboard and Vibe is Nicki Minaj, who occupied the 10th position on the list.
Rapper, Drake, made it to the list occupying the 8th position with Eminem, the late Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G, Lil Wayne, and Snoop Dogg all making it to the list,
