Socaloca Unveils New Football App to Boost Player Marketability in Ghana
Accra, Ghana – In a bid to revolutionize the football market and enhance player visibility, Socaloca has officially launched its Football application. The launch event took place on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the UDS Guest House in Accra, in partnership with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The SOCALOCA app aims to provide a comprehensive platform for players, clubs, and scouts to access detailed player statistics, profiles, and real-time information. It is designed for both male and female players from the age of eight onwards, offering a wide range of features that promise to elevate the marketability of Ghanaian football talents.
One of the key benefits of the SOCALOCA app is its ability to showcase real-time starting line-ups and player data to a global audience, significantly enhancing the visibility and value of players. This feature is expected to bridge the gap between players and potential buyers, creating a more dynamic and transparent market for football talent.
Henry Asante Twum, the Communications Director of the Ghana FA, highlighted the importance of the SOCALOCA app during the unveiling. “Majority of our clubs have not seen the need to invest in platforms like this [Socaloca], but elsewhere, the information is readily available because they have invested in multifaceted platforms to expose and market their talents,ā Twum remarked. āI think Socaloca is here to solve a very important and huge role that has been left in our industry.ā
Lionel Foy, the CEO and Founder of Socaloca, emphasized the app’s potential to help clubs track player progress and streamline the process of listing players for sale. āThe clubs can also track the progress of its core group of players and when it’s time for selling players, the club can easily list the players they want to sell on a marketplace,” Foy explained. āWe want clubs to be able to make money from the passion that they have for football.ā
Additionally, the SOCALOCA app allows users to upload videos of players, further enhancing their exposure and marketability. The app is readily available for download on both iOS and Android platforms, making it accessible to a wide range of users.
The launch of the SOCALOCA app marks a significant step forward in the digitalization of football in Ghana, offering a modern solution to player marketing and club management. By providing a platform that connects players, clubs, and scouts, Socaloca is poised to transform the football landscape and create new opportunities for Ghanaian talents.
