Rap star Guru has expressed an interest in venturing into student leadership at his university to test his knowledge and abilities in politics.
The Abonsam Ene (Devil’s Eye) hitmaker was speaking on CTV’s Class Showbiz.
Host Sammy Flex asked if he was done with school.
“I’m in level 300,” he answered, indicating he is reading: “Political Science and Information Studies.”
He revealed the reason he went to the University of Ghana (UG), Legon, is because “they are good” respecting those fields.
The NKZ Music boss said his original purpose for enrolling at UG “was to study IT,” disclosing addition that he had “A1 in Elective Maths” in senior high school (SHS).
“Only that I didn’t start early enough and things were not going as I had desired and I realised that Political Science is [also] something I wanted to do,” he narrated.
He noted to the Class Showbiz panel that politics permeates every facet of ordinary life including entertainment and “so I reasoned to put it into practice and see what comes of it”.
Guru said he was happy to be in both the IT and Political Science worlds.
He said it is possible he will get into school leadership “to test and see if I can do well in politics.”
On the other hand, “I’d use the IT for anything entertainment,” he explained.
“If God permits, I’ll study Law in addition,” he revealed.
