On the evening of Friday, April 5, 2024, Hon. Yaw Owusu-Brempong participated in an Iftar program in Acherensua.
The program was organized and funded by Hon. Alhaji Ali Suraj and was preceded by a recitation of the Qur’an and the offering of prayers by the Imams and Muslims of the Acherensua Zongo community.Ā
‘Iftar’ is the term used to refer to the breaking of fast by a Muslim. On such occasions, Muslims gather in their numbers to break the fast together and also supplicate Allah for His intercession.
Hon. Yaw Owusu-Brempong was in the company of party executives and members alike. He addressed the people at a sitting of Zongo chiefs and imams, led by Naaba Badini, the Acherensua Zongo Chief.Ā
He sought the blessing of the community and asked them to support his vision for the Asutifi South Constituency and elect him as the next MP, while equally supporting the first Muslim presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
