Media personality and social media star Efia Odo has categorically stated that she is not involved in any form of sex work where she offers her body up for people’s sexual pleasure in exchange for financial gain.
She spoke with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo today, Thursday, June 15, 2023.
“If I was really selling my body, I’d sell it for a really high price because I’m a bad b- and I always say this,” Efia said.
“Look at the car – I’d be driving big big cars, living in a mansion. If I really wanted to sell myself, trust me, I’d be looking much better than this but I don’t,” she added.
The actress and rapper made it clear that she is expensive, explaining that: “I carry myself very well, I take care of myself very well, I don’t like cheap stuff.”
“I like the best of the best things,” she stressed, adding, however, that: “I make sure I work hard to get those things.”
Efia Odo, thereafter, said intimated there is no shame in sex work.
“There’s no shame in someone selling themselves [bodies] for money,” she noted. “I am not shaming anyone who does that but it’s not me.”
She bemoaned “people like to put me in that category only because of how I look, only because of how I dress, but if they really look into it and see Efia Odo’s lifestyle, does she really do the things we say she does?”
She argued against the public impression that she sells her body for luxury, saying: “You guys don’t see me in big cars, flaunting a big house or changing bags, or wearing the most expensive things but I only know how to look good.”
“Because I look good they think that I’m selling myself,” she said.
On the source of her money, she said: “Most of my money comes from the social media influencing.”
