Ghanaian business man and philanthropist, Isaac Owusu, has donated items worth thousands of cedis to the Kumasi Children’s Home.
Among the various domestic goods donated to the homeless home were drinks, biscuits, sachets, and packets of T-rolls.
Additionally, he gave the need home an undisclosed sum of money.
Presenting the items to the management of home, Isaac Owusu who is the CEO of Isaac Owusu, said the donation was his widow’s mite of helping bring comfort to the needy who are sometimes abandoned by their families.
He claimed that his interest has always been serving the community.
“Giving is a blessing. I donate because of my experiences in life rather than because I have too much”.
According to him, it had been her objective to assist the needy as well as orphans, widows, among others, as the Bible teaches.
He said so many homeless people move about without any source of income or idea of where their next meal is going to come from; hence he took the opportunity to support some of them.
“It’s sometimes sad to see how homeless kids especially do wander about on the street of Accra searching for food to eat. This is why Isaac Owusu has taken it upon him to help the needy with some food and other materials to support their day-to-day life”.
Receiving the items on behalf of the home, the management, commended Isaac Owusu for his kind gesture and urged other kind-hearted persons and organisations to come to their aid.
The smiles and love on the faces of the children could not be hidden as they expressed gratitude to Isaac Owusu and his team.
