Ghana and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has surprisingly been left out of the FIFA 23 EA Sports Premier League team of the season nominees.

Partey who has played in 26 matches and scored 3 goals has been pivotal to the success of league leaders Arsenal who are seeking their first league title in almost two decades.

His omission caused a stir among fans and social media users as he was pipped to the midfield position by the likes of Argentine World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister, Solly March and Rodrigo Bentancur.
