Ohene Kwame Frimpong, Chairman of Salt Media Group and proprietor of AxeBridge Real Estates, has officially declared his intention to vie for the parliamentary seat in the Asante Akyem North Constituency in the upcoming 2024 elections.
The prominent investor and philanthropist revealed his political ambitions during an exclusive interview on Salt 95.9 FM, hosted by the acclaimed morning show anchor, Samuel Owiredu Acheampong.

In his interview, Mr. Frimpong acknowledged the close relationship between politics and business, emphasizing the vital role that business leaders can play in the political arena. He articulated his primary motivation for entering politics as a dedication to improving the prospects and well-being of the youth in the constituency.
“Every youth deserves a better future, and we must all work towards achieving it,” Mr. Frimpong asserted.
Prior to his official candidacy announcement, there had been persistent calls from the local residents urging Ohene Kwame Frimpong to contend for the parliamentary seat. His active involvement in charitable initiatives within the constituency has endeared him to the community, with notable contributions including the full funding of a modernized mosque’s reconstruction, a gesture that earned him immense gratitude from the locals.
Mr. Frimpong used his platform to advocate for a more respectful and constructive approach to politics, encouraging people to eschew insults and violence in their discourse.
“Let’s contribute our opinions with dignity and respect so that everyone can freely engage in the decision-making process,” he urged.

Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi represents the Asante Akyem North Constituency as the Member of Parliament, representing the New Patriotic Party.
