C. Ronaldo Reportedly Gave His Agent Jorge Mendes Ultimatum Before Parting Ways. The reason Cristiano Ronaldo parted ways with Jorge Mendes, his long-working agent, has been revealed by the Spanish media, Edmundo.
Before his mega move to Al Nasr, 37-year-old Ronaldo parted ways with his agent, Jorge Mendes, who he has worked with for many years.
Elmundo has dropped details regarding why Ronaldo parted ways with Jorge Mendes.
The Spanish media reports that C. Ronaldo demanded Jorge Mendes secured him a move away from Manchester United preferably to Chelsea or Bayern Munich.
The deal could not sail through because Ronaldo reportedly missed a preseason and that broke the relationship between the former Real Madrid man and his agent, Jorge Mendes.
According to further reports, the straw that broke the Camel’s back was Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan which also drove him away from Manchester United.
The failure of Jorge Mendes to secure his move to Chelsea or Bayern Munich was the reason the pair split, according to El Mundo.
Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s former agent, reportedly had issues with the five-time Ballon dor winner, after disagreeing with him on many occasions which include his decision to move away from Real Madrid.
Jorge Mendes told Ronaldo to halt the decision to move away from Real Madrid and that he could win two additional Ballon d’Or if he stayed, but Ronaldo did not listen.
The report also said his move away from Juventus was not sanctioned by Jorge Mendes who was unaware of the details.
Ronaldo, last year, parted ways with Jorge Mendes before his mega-money moves to Al Nassr.
However, there are reports from Oliver Kahn that Ronaldo was discussed amongst the management of Bayern on his move to the Club, saying Ronaldo did not fit Bayern’s philosophy.
C. Ronaldo secured around $ 200 million to move to Al Nassr with his new agent Regufe.
Regufe is reportedly Ronaldo’s new manager and friend.
