Black Sherif has earned another feather in his cap.
The Ghanaian star has been featured on Jamaican star Popcaan’s latest album, a 25-tracker named ‘Great Is He’.
The piece titled ‘Celebrate’ was produced by Ghanaian-British Jae5; the very producer Sherif chalked his ’45’ smash hit with recently.
Hopping on for the second verse in Pidgin English, the Ghanaian singer-songwriter and rapper Black Sherif, nicknamed Kwaku Killa, tells his opponents he is well aware of their schemes to truncate his upward rise and his very life.
“Many man try me, but dem no succeed
Tryna catch a man lacking but I never ‘gree…”
A devout Muslim, he stands unshaken, his arresting voice cutting through the Hiphop-influenced music as usual, because of his faith in God and his belief in himself.
He prays for protection also.
“And shout ‘Hallele’ to the Almighty
To keep me away, far away from the reaper
Cos they won’t let me breathe
So man a stand pon
Everything I say, mi a stand pon it
I’m a true believer on myself
I go celebrate.”
