Artiste manager and CEO of Elgrace2120 Enterprise, Bigboy Kwesi has highlighted the importance of artiste development.
According to him, many artists lack the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the industry successfully.
“We need to invest in training and capacity-building programs to equip them with the skills they need to succeed,” he stated.
However, despite the challenges, he’s very optimistic about the future of Ghana’s music industry. “We have a lot of talented artists in Ghana, and with the right support and structures in place, we can compete with the best in the world,” he said.
Similarly, he urged stakeholders in the industry to work together to address the challenges facing Ghana’s music industry. “We need to collaborate and support each other to build a thriving industry that benefits everyone,” he said.
Bigboy Kwesi’s insights offer a valuable perspective on the state of Ghana’s music industry, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities facing artists and industry professionals.
As the industry continues to evolve, it is crucial to address the structural issues holding it back and to support the talented artists and professionals working hard to put Ghanaian music on the global map.
