Veteran Ghanaian musician Mzbel is preparing for a major comeback at the 2027 edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, according to her manager Emmanuel Boafo Opare, popularly known in the entertainment industry as Mod Dee.
Speaking after the successful organization of the 2026 TGMA, Emmanuel Boafo Opare disclosed that plans are already underway for Mzbel to file for nominations for the prestigious awards next year as the artiste intensifies her return to mainstream music.
According to Mod Dee, the female music space in Ghana has slowed down in recent years, with only a few women receiving the recognition they truly deserve despite the amount of work many continue to put into their craft. He noted that Mzbel’s consistency, experience, and renewed passion for music place her in a strong position to make a major impact again.
He explained that Mzbel’s comeback is not only about releasing songs but also about inspiring more women to remain active in the music industry and encouraging others who may have stepped away from music to return and pursue their dreams.
“Mzbel is putting in a lot of work this year, and we believe her consistency and dedication will inspire more female artistes to keep pushing and also motivate others to come back into the music space,” Mod Dee stated.
The manager further revealed that Mzbel is currently working on new music that features music producer and artiste Vacs. The upcoming release follows the success of her recent single “GA Vibes,” a collaboration with Nii Funny which received positive reactions from fans.
Mzbel has already released three songs this year including ‘GA Vibes’ ‘Rukie’ and ‘Ajele’ showing her renewed commitment to music. With another single on the way, the artiste is expected to make it four releases within the year alone.
In addition to the new music, Mod Dee also disclosed that Mzbel and her team are currently working on a special all-female project which is expected to be launched soon. Although details about the project remain under wraps, he hinted that it will focus on empowering women in the entertainment industry and creating opportunities for female talents.
With new music, collaborations, and bigger projects ahead, Mzbel’s camp appears confident that the celebrated musician is ready to reclaim a strong position in Ghana’s music scene ahead of the 2027 awards season.
