Qatari Club Al Sadd Terminate Andre Ayew’s Contract. Qatari Club Al Sadd has announced contract termination with the slipper of the Ghana Black Stars, Andrew Dede Ayew.
The club announced on Sunday, January 29, 2023, via its official social media handles that it has mutually terminated Andrew Ayew’s contract after reaching an agreement.
It is not clear the reason for the contract termination because the club failed to provide details.
An official statement from Al Sadd reported by Ghanaweb.com said “Al Sadd has officially announced reaching an agreement with Ghana captain Andre Ayew to terminate his contract by mutual consent”
Andrew Ayew who previously played in the English Premier League made a move to Qatar in 2021.
During his time with Al Sadd, Andrew Ayew,33, played 30 league matches and scored 18 goals. On his debut, Andrew Ayew won the Qatari star league with Al Sadd where he played mainly as a midfielder.
Besides the League trophy, Andre Ayew won the Emir Cup with Al Sadd.
Andrew Ayew became a topic after he missed a penalty when the Black Stars played against Uruguay at the Qatar 2022 world cup.
His penalty missed was part of the reasons the Black Stars could not qualify from the group stage leading to their premature exit from the tournament.
The skipper later apologized for the missed and promised to bounce back.
At moment, Andrew Ayew’s next destination is not been officially communicated yet.
