Michael Essien Reportedly Acquires License To Practice A Professional Coach. Michael Essien, who previously played as a midfielder for the Ghana Black Stars, has acquired a professional license to practice as a coach, according to FootballGhana.com.
On February 14, 2023, the former Chelsea FC man revealed he has finally acquired his license to practice as a professional coach.
Essien, has in less than a year, become the second ex-Black Star player to have secured a license as a professional coach after the former Skipper, Asamoah Gyan did last year.
Essien in the post announced his acquisition of the license and his desire to continue to work harder to reach his dream of a coaching career.

Essien has been the assistant coach at FC Nordsjælland in Denmark since 2020.
