Former Black Stars player Christian Atsu is still missing about more than one week of thorough search to locate him after he reportedly went missing during the earthquake in Turkey but the latest update from his UK-based manager identified as Nana Ssechere is that the player’s two shoes have been found, according to a report from Ghanaweb.com.
Christian Atsu, who plays for Turkish club Hatayspor, and his club director Taner Savut, per reports, have gone missing during the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
There have been several twists and turns regarding the attempts to locate Christan Atsu after his club statement clarified that the player has still not been found.
The latest report from Ghanaweb.com is that Christian Atsu manager Nana Sechere has confirmed that the player’s shoes have been found on the supposed scene believed to be the missing point of Atsu, but he is yet to be found.
His agent said Atsu is still trapped under the collapsed buildings after the unfortunate incident and the search for him continues.
According to Nana Sechere, as reported by Ghanaweb.com, he went to the scene of the incidents with the family of Atsu but the player is yet to be located.
“It has been 9 days since the earthquake and we still have not located Christian. I am at the quake site in Hatay with Christian’s family. The scenes are unimaginable and our hearts are broken for all the people affected” Nana Sechre said in a tweet spotted on Ghanaweb.com
Meanwhile, Atsu’s wife has expressed hope that she still believes her husband will be found. Other celebrities like Shatta Wale and Asamoah Gyan have since prayed for him.
