Speaking in an interview with Original Fm, John Paintsil disclosed the FA snubbed Christian Atsu and that impacted his chances of getting a permanent stay with clubs moving from one club to another before his unfortunate incident in Turkey.

Paintsil argued that clubs value and respect players who play for their National teams and that Atsu’s struggle was partly the snub from the Ghana Football Association.

John Paintsil added the FA is pretending like they care and love Christian Atsu after he passed away but in actual sense, they don’t.

Christian Atsu was found under the rubble after the earthquake in Turkey about two weeks ago. The former Black Stars winger was found after a massive search. His body has been flown to Ghana and the family is making arrangements for his burial Services.

Christian Atsu, during his active playing days, played 69 matches and scored 9 goals for the National team.

In 2015, Christian Atsu won the African Cup of the Nations player of the tournament and the goal of the Tournament. He was instrumental in helping the Black Stars reach the final.
